I am committed to providing high-quality instruction and mentoring. I have experience as the instructor of record for Introduction to Social Psychology in both writing-intensive and non-writing-intensive forms. My approach to teaching focuses on developing students’ abilities to use psychology as a tool for improving their own lives and society. For example, my writing-intensive course culminates in students developing a grant proposal in which they design an intervention for a social issue based on course concepts. The effectiveness of my approach can be gleaned from positive student evaluations (instructor ratings: 4.7/5 and 4.9/5) and teaching recognitions (e.g. Ohio State Psychology Department Meritorious Teaching Award Recipient).
